The Japan Patent Office has announced on January 19, 2016 that the official fees regarding Patent and Trademark will decrease. The new official fees are scheduled to be enforced on April 1, 2016. The details of the new official fees are as follows.

(1) Patent

(ii) Registration fees and annuities

(*The new fees are applied to cases where a request for examination was filed after April 1, 2004.)

(*The new fees are applied to cases where a request for examination was filed before March 31, 2004.)

(2) Trademark
