We are pleased to announce that we established a patent professional corporation, R&C IP Law Firm, on October 2, 2013, in order to continuously and stably provide high-quality service in the field of intellectual property and promote our further development for the future.
Accordingly, our service as S. Kitamura Patent Office was completed on November 15, 2013, and R&C IP Law Firm took over the business on November 16, 2013.
Our company name, “R&C,” derives from “Rectitude & Courage” in Bushido (samurai moral code). “Rectitude” is the most severe virtue in the samurai moral code, and means a righteous cause and justice that a person should serve. “Courage” means a dauntless spirit and patience to do right things to serve “Rectitude.” We selected the initials of these words for our new company name, wishing to be an expert group that conducts business with these virtues.
